reblogging

I haven't blogged in a while, but that's ok, because priorities change and so it is.
However, I think that now is a time to get started because I'm convinced that it is a valuable thing to do, and it's not too late.

Topics I intend to cover:
  • Lifehacking
  • Motivation and creativity
  • Finance and economics
  • Possibly personal life?

my blogging experiment

has not been entirely successful yet, considering how bored i am and how little there is to write about in nj!

blogging daily

blogging about blogging itself is probably incredibly uninteresting, but i do it anyways. :P

I always find it somewhat irksome when American commentators say that the Chinese don't deserve to host the Olympics because of human rights issues (i suppose referring to Darfur and Tibet... which are incredibly complicated and cannot be easily discussed in a line). But Chicago is bidding for the 2016 olympics, and as much as i think it would be cool to have olympics in chicago, at the same time America is guilty of human rights abuses as well (Guantanamo!).

building an audience

I'm not entirely sure how important I think it is to have a substantial build-up of traffic. I do find it a little silly, however, that searching for the name of my blog on google doesn't turn up anything at all :P

As far as social commentary, I was sitting at B&N yesterday and was listening to these kids talking about smoking and their family lives and all that. It's surprising the stuff that they go through...

return to blogging

i've actually had a blog since around 2001, originally with xanga.
but the usual angsty jibberish that teenagers write isn't that interesting except to look back on and observe how silly some of it is.
anyways, i was reading casnocha's My Startup Life, and he recommended having a blog, so i decided to reorganize my blogging to be more of a social commentary function. of course, with the so-called web 2.0, everyone has a voice, which isn't necessarily a good thing, but we'll see.
my initial focus will be the remarkably interesting milieu of suburban NJ. stay tuned!

i'm not a very consistent blogger, which is perhaps unfortunate.
however, there's been a paradigm shift.

the new beginning

i have this story and it's starting to annoy me because it's something that i never considered telling until now.

you know how some people seem burdened by things that don't seem to burden other people at all? i guess i somehow transitioned from the latter category to the former.
